To Whom Shall We Go?

Come to Christ!

As many today ponder and fear over the future of our once great and God-fearing nation, I ask that you urgently consider something far more important — your eternal destination. Will you go on to glory in the Kingdom of God in Heaven, or will you be thrown into the lake of fire that is Hell? Make no mistake, there are no other alternatives. In John 6:66, many of the disciples of Jesus turned away, no longer to follow Him. “So Jesus said to the twelve, ‘Do you want to go away as well?’ Simon Peter answered him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life …’” (John 6:67-68).

Believers in our Lord Jesus Christ need not fear anything in this life. In Isaiah 41:9-10, God proclaims, “… I have chosen you and not cast you off; fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Even Job, who suffered countless horrendous afflictions, still managed to faithfully declare, “Though he slay me, I will hope in him.” (Job 13:15).

Unbelievers, whether they admit it or not, live in great fear. My most prominent fear was what would happen to me when I die; I spent many sleepless nighttime hours contemplating this. Upon my conversion to Christ, that fear disappeared; praise God! I hereby assure all of you unbelievers that any calamity that shall befall you in this world will pale in comparison to that which will befall you when, upon your death, you enter the world to come. This is, of course, unless you repent of all your sins and believe the Gospel beforehand. The penman of the Book of Hebrews eloquently tells us in Hebrews 9:27-28, “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.”

For an articulate and biblically accurate summation of what is currently taking place in our rapidly declining nation, I implore you to listen to this brief (15-minute) address by Pastor Doug Wilson, the Senior Minister of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho, and COME TO CHRIST!!!
