Greetings! I’m Jennifer, an extremely grateful and God-fearing Christian of the reformed tradition. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ walked into my life in early 2020 at age 51. Rather than knocking on the door, He kicked it down and took charge of me, body and soul. I stood in my kitchen one day, and the thought came to me, “I’d made such a mess of my life but then in walked Jesus.”

He has taken over my life, becoming my Lord and my Master. My prayer is that, more and more, His will will become mine, and I take seriously my vow of obedience to Him. The Holy Spirit has led me well and has never taken me astray, even when I thought what was being asked of me was utterly insane. Sometimes I question His wisdom but always remember that He knows the end from the beginning and would never steer me wrong.

This online presence is the result of the preceding paragraph. In looking back over my many years on this earth, I see God’s hand — His providence — in everything leading up to this point. Whether it be my innate desire to write; or my life experiences, many of which are mired in a fog of alcohol use and mental illness; or even the thousands of photos I’ve taken of His creation in nature, all have culminated into this blog.

I pray that my writing will provoke much thought and encourage readers to regularly and voraciously study the Bible and that for those who may not know our Savior Jesus Christ, these writings will lead them to genuinely consider God’s word.

Thank you for being here!
